Face Modeling ============= Eye --- create the eyelid at the front view using 15 points bevel 4 times (out, in, in, sideways) bend the eyelid in shape of the eye sculpt the eyelid (a row of points at a time) create the eyebraw using extender 3 times on the top 8 points create the cheekbone using extender 2 times on the bottom 7 points create the nose bridge using extender on the 4 points closest to the nose close the nose bridge using extender 3 times on the 9 lower nose bridge points Mouth ----- create the upper lip at the side view using 6 points use extender to create 5 rows for the lip create the lower lip the same way merge the last rows of points of both lips create a gental pinch at the lip corner moving the lower lip corner points slightly up (y axis) create the rest of the mouth area and the begining of the chin using extender twice on all the outer points Jaw --- create five vertical curved points in a side view to define the contour of the jaw use extender to create 7 row of polygons up to the chin (x=0) connect the bottom middle seven vertices of the mouth with the coresponding jaw points Nostrils -------- create 5 vertical points in a side view use extender 5 times to create the nostril and the edge of the nostril hole weld the bottom row of the nose bridge points with the upper row of the nostril points create the rest of the nostril hole edge using extender 4 times on the 2 points at the bottom of the nostril close the bottom nose tip using extender on the 3 points that are closest to the center select the 6 points of the nostril hole edge, create a polygon out of them and bevel it upwards 2 times creating the nostril hole. then delete the polygon weld the lower 5 points of the nose with the upper coresponding points of the mouth add 2 points to the upper lip polygon on the side which so it can be smoothly welded to the nose. split this polygon in two and weld the 2 points closest to the center with the coresponding nose points. Face ---- create the chick using extender 3 times on the 4 points on the side of the nose close the gap between the chicks and the chin using extender on the 4 points on the side of the mouth. (this creates a point which has 5 polygons connected to it) complete the face using extender twice on the 7 points on the side of the chick add 4 polygons to the temple using extender 4 times on the 3 points on the side of the eye Head ---- use extender 8 times on the top 15 points above the eyebraws connect the head to the jaw welding the 2 coresponding polygons on the bottom edges of the head and the jaw. Neck ---- select all the points (26) at the bottom of the head and use extender 3 times to shape the neck Ear --- create 5 points in the front view around the outer part of the ear (tube shapa). use extender 8 times to create the outer circle use extender 5 times on the top points to create the rest of the ear circle delete the inner most band of polygons (13) delete the outer band of polygons at the front of the ear (4) in a side view stretch the inner most points (10) slightly towards the center of the ear select the 9 inermost points and use extender 3 times in a side view to form the inner ear use extender another time in a front view and pull the points a bit inside towards the head weld the 3 lower points of the outer circle with the coresponding points of the inner most ear band create 2 new polygons between the 3 top inner part points and the coresponding points on the outer circle connect the inner band to the outer circle creating another 3 sided polygon using the 3 points pointing inwards eliminate the ridge at the lobe by Welding the 3 polygons around the lobe (4 pairs of points) * rotate the ear 20 deg in the top view and 10 deg in the back view create a row of polygons that will connect to the scull using extender on the 8 center points of the polygon band that is the closest to the scull (leave 1 point unselected on the edges). * hide everything except the two rows of ear polygons closest to the scull and a row of scull polygons closest to the ear. * connect the ear to the head create the ridge that goes into the ear by beveling 3 times the inward polygon that is placed halfway down the front edge of the ear. delete the polygon that was beveled and the 3 back polygons. create the rest of the inner ear and then smoothshift the new polygons deeper inside and behind the fron of the ear.
